Our Founder
Carolyn Cowley is an award-winning beauty therapist and the founder of Cascade Beauty. She was named Therapist of the Year at the 2009 Professional Beauty Awards.
She has specialised as an eyelash extension artist for more than 14 years, and is an experienced salon owner. Everything Cascade stocks is chosen with that experience: products that work as well in a busy salon as they do for an artist just starting out.
Carolyn also teaches Cascade's Classic Eyelash Extension Training, a full-day course in Cape Town covering theory, hands-on practice on a mannequin and a live model, and the business and marketing advice she wishes she'd had when starting her own salon.

What are Cascade eyelash extensions made from?
Our eyelash extensions are known as an "Imitation Mink" meaning they are not made from real mink (animal-origin), they are actually made from the softest PBT fibre. We are against animal cruelty!
Cascade's "mink" lashes are known for their natural, semi-matte appearance that resembles the look of natural lashes, and their incredibly lightweight body. The synthetic polyester mimics the soft, flexible and pliable feel of natural eyelashes. The PBT fibre eyelash extensions are the highest quality, making them ideal for classic, volume and mega volume sets. Each eyelash is tapered, making it look incredibly natural.
